One of the twenty-two engravings on wood that was published by The Art Journal in 1850 (12:142) in a series entitled Passages from the Poets. Paton's original drawing was engraved by W. T. Green. This passage from A Midsummer Night's Dream (IV.i) accompanies the picture: Come, sit thee down upon this flow'ry bed, While I thy amiable cheeks do coy, And stick musk-roses in thy sleek smooth head, And kiss thy fair large ears, my gentle joy.
